What is 804 Day?
Richmond’s biggest block party in the heart of Shockoe Bottom. A day of music performances across multiple stages and a hometown celebration of all things Richmond. Music from some of Richmond's most diverse indie talents, with the food, drink, arts, culture, and community energy that makes the 804 thrive.
Why Shockoe Bottom?
Shockoe Bottom is the oldest neighborhood in RVA with a rich and diverse history. This is where many of us at Shockoe Records and In Your Ear Studios proudly live, work, and socialize. With The Shockoe Project on the horizon aimed at recognizing and preserving the historical significance of the area, 804 Day celebrates the heart and soul of Richmond, highlighting what Shockoe Bottom is today; a multicultural art hub in Central Virginia.
What’s In It For Attendees?
Attendees enjoy local, live musicians unlike anything that's ever been done before in Richmond. Multiple stages showcasing different genres will entertain music lovers all evening. Also included will be local maker booths, food, drink, and a spotlight on our local nonprofits will give everyone a chance to rally around and interact with their favorite charity.

Style Weekly is partnering with the 804 Day music and community festival to find a “Very Richmond dog” that embodies the spirit of our region.
Whether it’s charm, style, unique story or most Richmond attitude, we want to see what makes your dog the perfect candidate to serve as the official 804 Day dog.
The winner will be featured in Style Weekly and have its portrait captured by acclaimed Virginia pet photographer Wendy Humble.
Most important, Richmond’s official 804 Day dog will assume ceremonial duties onstage at the 804 Day festival on Saturday, Aug. 2 in the heart of Shockoe Bottom.
